dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.en_US

dc.description.abstractBilkent Üniversitesi’nin kuruluşundan kısa süre sonra Ümit Hasbioğlu’nun önderliğinde kooperatif olarak kurulan Bilkent Murat Taksi uzun yıllardır müşterilerine hizmet vermektedir. Bilkent ve çevresi de dahil olmak üzere 5 farklı durağı, 13 bekleme noktası, 100’ü aşkın aracıyla Murat Taksi’nin kooperatif yapısıyla kurulması ve şoförlerine eğitimler aldırmış olması başlıca dikkat çeken unsurları arasında yer almaktadır. Bünyesinde bulunan kalabalık şoför kadrosu ve kapsadığı büyük etki alanı sebebiyle Ankara’daki taksi duraklarına örnek teşkil etmektedir.en_US
dc.description.abstractBilkent Murat Taxi was established, after the short period when Bilkent University was founded, as a cooperative led by Ümit Hasbioğlu and has been servicing its customers for a long time. Around a wide zone including the Bilkent district is the service area of Murat Taxi which consists of more than a hundred drivers, 5 taxi stations and 13 service areas. Establishing with a cooperative concept and possessing educated drivers are the most remarkable features of the cooperative. Because of its crowded driver group and impacting a broad zone, Bilkent Murat Taxi sets an example for other taxi stations in Ankara.en_US
