Yapılan çalışmada, Milli Eğitim Vakfı’nın kuruluş süreci ve Türk eğitimine olan katkıları ele alınmıştır. 1981'de Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafında kurulmuş olan Milli Eğitim Vakfı'nın kuruluş süreci, hedefleri ve amaçları açıklanmıştır. Vakfın kuruluş dönemine denk gelen 1980 yıllarındaki Türk eğitimi incelenerek Milli Eğitim Vakfının kuruluş süreci ve amaçları ile olan bağlantısı analiz edilmiştir. Vakfın 1981 ve 2000 yılları arasında yaptığı çalışmalar 1981-1990 ve 1990-2000 yılları olmak üzere ikiye ayrılarak incelenmiştir. Bu iki süreçte yapılan ve vakfın kuruluş amaçları doğrultusunda gerçekleştirdiği çalışmalar üzerinden vakfın Türk eğitimine sağladığı katkılar hakkında çıkarımlar yapılmıştır. Bu çıkarımlar ile Milli Eğitim Vakfı’nın, Türk eğitimine maddi, sosyal ve kültürel alanlarda çeşitli katkılar sağladığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

In the study, the establishment process of the Milli Egitim Vakfi and its contributions to the Turkish education were discussed. The establishment process, goals and objectives of the Milli Egitim Vakfi, which was established by the Ministry of National Education in 1981, have been explained. The Turkish education in 1980, coinciding with the foundation period of the foundation, was examined and its connection with the establishment process and aims of the Milli Egitim Vakfi was analyzed. The studies of the foundation between 1981 and 2000 were divided into two as 1981-1990 and 1990-2000. Inferences have been made about the contributions of the foundation to Turkish education through the works carried out in these two processes and in line with the foundation's aims of establishment. With these inferences, it was concluded that the Milli Egitim Vakfi had made various contributions to Turkish education in economic, social and cultural fields.
