Abstract
The Love Masnavi's are some of the most important and rich texts to be found in Ottoman-Turkish
literature, following of course the divan. The Masnavi's were initially written before the Ottomans,
during the Anadolu Feudal Period, and later relayed through the enriched translations from Persian.
The paper concentrates on the parallelism of these with knighthood novels and the love portrayed.
Also, the social references to the medieval love models and the love for lineage or the prince
portrayed in love masnavis was studied.
