Türkiye 1980 yılına yaklaşırken ekonomik anlamda birçok sıkıntıyla karşılaştı. Bunun sonucu olarak Türkiye 24 Ocak 1980 ekonomik kararları adı altında bazı ekonomik tedbirler aldı. Bu tedbirler ülkeyi genel anlamda olumlu etkilese de bazı ekonomik ve sosyal sorunlarla da karşılaştı. Bu olumlu ve olumsuz sonuçlardan etkilenenlerden biri de Yücel GÜLCÜ oldu. Bu çalışmada da Yücel GÜLCÜ özelinde 24 Ocak 1980 kararlarının etkileri, 1980 öncesi ve sonrası da göz önünde bulundurularak incelendi.

Turkey faced many ordeals in economic approaches to 1980. As a result, Turkey has received some economic measures January 24, 1980 under the name of economic decisions. Although these measures had a positive impact on the country in general, they also faced some economic and social problems. One of those affected by these positive and negative results was Yücel GÜLCÜ. In this study, the effects of the 24 January 1980 decisions on Yücel GÜLCÜ's life have been examined by taking into consideration before and after 1980.
