dc.descriptionThe History of Turkey course (HIST200) is a requirement for all Bilkent undergraduates. It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.

dc.description.abstractMarkiz Pastanesi 1940 yılından 1980 yılına kadar ki bir dönemin büyük beğenisini toplamış ve pastane ve restoran işletmesi olarak insanların hayatında saygın bir yer edinmişti. Binanın başka birine satılması ile Markiz Pastanesi ve onun kültürü için sona yaklaşılmış oldu. Dükkanının içindeki eserler her ne kadar korunmak istense de bu eserler aslında o binayı dokunulmaz kılmış ve boş bir yer haline getirmişti. Bu yazıda Markiz Pastanesi'nin Avedis Ohanyan Çakır tarafından alındıktan sonraki zamandan 2019 yılına kadarki süreci anlatılmıştır.
dc.description.abstractMarkiz Patisserie has been a great admiration of the period from 1940 to 1980 and has been found in the lives of many respected people as a patisserie and restaurant business. With the sale of the building to someone else, the Markiz Patisserie and its culture became the last approach. Although the artifacts inside his shop were to be preserved, this actually made that building untouchable and an empty place. In this article, the process of Markiz Patisserie from Avedis Ohanyan Çakır to the year 2019 is explained.
