Bu makalenin konusu, Adana'nın ilk yerleşim yeri olan Tepebağ Mahallesi'nin geçmişten bugüne olan değişimini göstermektir. Tepebağ Mahallesi'nin ulaşabildiğimiz kayıtları M.ö 2000 yılına ait belgelerle başlar, 1360 yılında Türklerin Tepebağ Mahallesi’ni ve çevresini fethetmesiyle devam eder, geleneksel Adana Evleri’ne ait belgelerle sürdürülür. 1998 yılında gerçeklenen Adana Depremi, buna bağlı olarak yaşanan göçü ve hasarlı evlerin sit alanında olması nedeniyle onarılamayıp turizme olan etkisi bu makalenin konusudur.

The theme of this research project is to show the change of the Tepebağ neighborhood, the first settlement of Adana, from the past to the present. The records of Tepebağ neighborhood that we can reach start with the documents belonging to the year 2000 BC continue with the conquest of the Tepebağ District and its surroundings by the Turks in 1360 and continue with the documents belonging to the traditional Adana Houses. The main topics of this article are the Adana Earthquake that took place in 1998, the migratition caused by the earthquake and decayed and inelaborative houses beaceuse they are in the protected area.
