Micro milling is widely used in precision manufacturing industry to produce micro components made from difficult-to-cut materials. High material removal rate and ability to create good surface quality are the major advantages. Modeling of micro milling process is essential to gain predictive ability in the process where the first step is an accurate model for machining forces where mechanistic force modeling is commonly used. In micro milling, average cutting force characteristics deviate from shifted linear force characteristics observed in macro scale machining. In this study, mechanistic force modeling based on cubic polynomial average force characteristic has been used. The influence of run-out of the spindle system has also been integrated into the mechanistic force modeling. The predicted forces are in agreements with experimental micro milling forces for machining of titanium alloy Ti6AL4V
