Near-infrared light (λ=1550 nm) was coupled into a 100-nm-core Ag/SiO2/Ag waveguide using dipole antennas. We demonstrate that using antennas, the field intensity inside the waveguide can be enhanced by changing the antenna size and location. © 2010 OSA /FiO/LS 2010.

Fabrication of mesoporous metal chalcogenide nanoflake silica thin films and spongy mesoporous CdS and CdSe Türker, Y.; Karakaya, C.; Dag Ö. (2012)Mesoporous silica metal oxide (ZnO and CdO) thin films have been used as metal ion precursors to produce the first examples of mesoporous silica metal sulfide (meso-SiO 2@ZnS, meso-SiO 2@CdS) or silica metal selenide ...
Redel, E.; Petrov, S.; Dag Ö.; Moir J.; Huai, C.; Mirtchev P.; Ozin G.A. (2012)A universal, simple, robust, widely applicable and cost-effective aqueous process is described for a controlled oxidative dissolution process of micrometer-sized metal powders to form high-purity aqueous dispersions of ...
Large area compatible broadband superabsorber surfaces in the VIS-NIR spectrum utilizing metal-insulator-metal stack and plasmonic nanoparticles Dereshgi S.A.; Okyay A.K. (OSA - The Optical Society, 2016)Plasmonically enhanced absorbing structures have been emerging as strong candidates for photovoltaic (PV) devices. We investigate metal-insulator-metal (MIM) structures that are suitable for tuning spectral absorption ...
