Freedom and Solidarity Party (Özgürlük ve Dayanışma Partisi) from the past to the future: a short history

Abstract

This thesis analyses the political life of the Freedom and Solidarity Party (Özgürlük ve Dayamşma Partisi, ÖDP) in a historical context. Party’s establishment process, its political identity, its discourse and mass actions, its performance in the general and local elections of April 1999 will be discussed. The thesis will also make political assumptions about the party’s future.
