Re-functioning monumental buildings

Abstract

This thesis is a study on re-functioning monumental buildings. It is supported by a case study, which is a project of re-functioning a church called "Kavakli kilise" into a conference center. The early chapters analyze the re-functioning activity, churches and conference centers in order to support the case study. A re-functioning project on the church in Burdur and a comparison list are investigated in the thesis.
