1980-2000 yılları arasında Doğu Antalya (side) bölgesinde yaz turizminin gelişimi ve toplumsal etkileri

Abstract

Bu proje kapsamında Antalya kıyılarında küçük bir yerleşim yeri olan Side’nin 1980’lerden itibaren bir turizm beldesine dönüşmesinin basamakları ve bu dönüşümün toplum, iş hayatı ve çevreye olan etkileri incelenmiştir. Zaman içinde turizm etkisiyle gelişen ve değişen Side’deki demografik ve sosyal yapının, bunların yanı sıra iş hayatının ve turistlerin isteklerine yönelik gelişen yeni sektörlerin incelenmesi araştırmanın önemli bir bölümünü oluşturmuş ve Side’deki değişimin anlaşılmasında önemli bir yer tutmuştur. Bu değişimin daha iyi incelenmesi amacıyla, 1980-2000 yılları arasında Side’de restoran işletmeciliği yapan Hamdi Tanrıkulu ile sözlü görüşme yaparak, kendisinin gözlem, tecrübe ve fikirlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Genel bir bakış için bu yıllarda Antalya’da otellerde çalışmış olan Tosun Ülge ile görüşülmüştür. Bu çalışmada 1980’lerden itibaren Side’nin turizmle beraber toplumsal değişimlerine sahne olduğu, ek olarak turizme dayalı olarak hızla gelişen yeni sektörlere ve ekonomiye sahip olduğu ama bu ekonomisinin krizlere karşı oldukça kırılgan olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

Within the scope of this project, the steps of turning Side from a small settlement on the shores of Antalya, into a tourism resort since the 1980s, and its effects on the society, business life and environment. Examination of the demographic and social structure in Side, which has developed and changed with the effect of tourism over time, as well as the business life and new sectors that have developed for the wishes of tourists, has formed an important part of the research and has an important place in understanding the change in Side. In order to better examine this change, a verbal interview was made with Hamdi Tanrıkulu, who was a restaurant manager in Side between 1980-2000, and his observations, experiences and ideas were used. To get an overview of topic, Tosun Ülge, who worked in hotels in Antalya during these years, was interviewed. In this study, it has been determined that since the 1980s, Side has witnessed social changes with effect of tourism, in addition, it has rapidly developing new sectors and economy based on tourism, but this economy is very fragile against crises.
