Abstract

Kuleli Askerî Lisesi, Osmanlı’dan Cumhuriyet dönemine doğru gelen zengin bir tarihi görüp geçirmiş bir yatılı askeri idadidir. Lise, 1970- 1985 yılları arasında ülkedeki çeşitli politik olaylara maruz kalmış ve eğitim hayatında çeşitli dönüşümler geçirmiştir. Okul, ülkenin sebep olduğu dış etmenler dışında kendi içerisinde de ayrı bir atmosfere ve ekole sahipti. Okulu diğer sivil ve askeri liselerden farklı kılan kuralları, törenleri, kıyafetleri, programları, dersleri ve sosyal ortamı bulunmaktaydı. Askeri disiplin gereği okulun içerisindeki yaşam hakkında bilgiler, birincil kaynaklar olan okul mezunlarından ve öğrencilerinden elde edildi. Kuleli’nin kapatılmadan önceki yıllardaki politik, sosyal, eğitsel ve kültürel hayatının araştırılması, ülkedeki askeri lise modellerini tanımak ve Türk Silahlı Kuvvetlerinin aldığı eğitimi ve bu eğitimin bu mesleğe yansımalarını anlamak için faydalıdır.

Kuleli Military High School is a boarding military high school that has seen and experienced a rich history from the Ottoman Empire to the Turkish Republican period. High school was exposed to various political events in the country between 1970 and 1985 and went through various transformations in its education life. Apart from the external factors caused by the country, the school also had a different atmosphere and school within itself. It had rules, ceremonies, attire, programs, lessons and social environment that made the school different from other civilian and military high schools. Information about the life in the school was obtained from the primary sources, the graduates and students of the school, because of the strict military discipline. It is useful to investigate the political, social, educational and cultural life of Kuleli in the years before it was closed, to get to know the military high school models in the country and to understand the education received by the Turkish Armed Forces and the reflections of this education on this profession.
