Efficient nonradiative energy transfer is observed from nanopillars of InGaN/GaN quantum wells to colloidal CdSe/ZnS quantum dots up to 83% efficiency. Nanostructured architecture is shown to promote excitonic color conversion for LED applications. © 2012 OSA.
