It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Köy Enstitülerinin spekülatif tartışmalara konu olması sebebiyle İvriz Köy Enstitüsü de diğerleri gibi pek çok müdahaleye maruz kalmış ve değişime uğramıştır. Bu araştırmada, İvriz Köy Enstitüsü’nün ve sonrasında dönüştürüldüğü öğretmen okulunun başlıca sosyal yapısı, eğitim vizyonu ve öğrenim verdiği nesiller üzerindeki etkisi, bizzat bu kurumun öğrencisi olmuş kişilerin anıları yardımıyla incelenmiştir. Enstitü mezunları ile yapılan röportajların yanı sıra, Köy Enstitülerini ve İvriz Köy Enstitüsü’nü konu alan akademik araştırmalar ve belgesellerden de yararlanılmıştır. İvriz Köy Enstitüsü’nün Türkiye’nin eğitim sistemine ve kırsal kalkınmaya olan katkıları ile sosyal ve kültürel etkilerinin ortaya konması hedeflenmektedir. Enstitünün tarihini ve misyonunu anlamak, genç Cumhuriyet’in eğitim vizyonunu ve kırsal kalkınma stratejilerini daha iyi idrak etmemizi sağlayacaktır.İvriz Köy Enstitüsü, established in 1941, began serving with the aim of bringing modern education to villages, cultivating self-sufficient individuals, and promoting rural development. Due to the speculative debates surrounding the Village Institutes, İvriz Köy Enstitüsü, like the others, underwent many interventions and changes. This research examines the primary social structure, educational vision, and impact on the generations taught at İvriz Köy Enstitüsü and the teacher training school it was later transformed into, through the memories of those who were students at this institution. In addition to interviews with institute graduates, academic research and documentaries focusing on Village Institutes and İvriz Köy Enstitüsü were also utilized. The goal is to reveal the contributions of İvriz Köy Enstitüsü to Turkey's education system and rural development, as well as its social and cultural impacts.
