It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 17-19).Devlet Hava Meydanları İşletmesi, yani kısaca DHMİ, Türkiye sınırları içerisindeki bütün meydanlardan ve Sivil Havacılık sektöründen sorumlu bir idari kuruluş olarak 1933 yılından beri hizmet vermektedir. Yeşilköy Havalimanı ile başlayan bu büyük yolculuk, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti tarihi boyunca gelişmiş, ilerlemiş ve neredeyse Türkiye’deki bütün şehirlere meydanlarıyla hizmet verecek hâle gelmiştir. Türkiye'de bulunan toplam 57 havalimanının koordine bir şekilde yönetimini sürdüren DHMİ, bünyesinde yaklaşık yirmi bin personel barındırmakta olup, bu 57 havalimanının 37’sini yurtdışı uçuşlarına açmış bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada DHMİ’nin kuruluşu, çalışmaları, bünyesinde açılan ilk meydanlar, kapsamındaki ilk sivil uçuşlar, genel olarak yaptığı yenilikler ve öncülük ettiği ilkler incelenecektir.Devlet Hava Meydanları İşletmesi (State Airports Authority of Turkey), or in short DHMI, provides service as an establishment that is responsible for all of the airports inside the Turkish borders and civil aviation industry since the year 1933. This great journey, which started with the Yesilkoy Airport, has developed and advanced throughout the history of the Republic of Turkey and has come to such a state that it can nearly provide service to all of the cities of Turkey with its airports. DHMI, which continues to manage 57 airports that are in Turkey in a coordinated manner, employs nearly twenty thousand people while having 37 out of the 57 airports being open for international traveling.
