It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (page 14).Cemil Sait Barlas'ın sahibi ve baş yazarı olduğu Pazar Postası dergisi ilk döneminde yoğun siyasi içerik ve az miktarda sanat ve edebiyat içeren haftalık bir gazetedir. Siyasi amaçlarla, Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi'ne devletçilik ve sosyal demokrasi gibi kavramları yerleştirmek üzere kurulan dergi yayın hayatına verilen aradan sonra Muzaffer Erdost'un editör olarak dergide tekrardan yer almasıyla kabuk değiştirmiş ve edebiyat ve sanat yönü daha ağır basan bir gazeteye dönüşmüştür. İkinci yeniye ev sahipliği yapan pazar postası, bu dönemde siyasi ve toplumsal pek çok tartışmaya konuk olmuştur. Dönemin siyasi partisini ve toplumsal düzeni eleştirmiş Atatürk ilkelerini yaymayı ve halka yakından tanıtmayı hedef almıştır. Bu tutumu sebebiyle pek çok kişi tarafından karşı çıkılan bir gazete olmuştur.Pazar Postası Magazine, which Cemal Sait Barlas is the owner and the editorial writer of, was a weekly magazine with intense political content and a small amount of literature in its infancy. Pazar postası was published for bringing CHP terms of statism and social democracy. It took a publishing break which ended with assignment of Muzaffer Erdost as an editor. Following this event, Pazar Postası changes its profile and become an art journal. Pazar Postası has caused many discussions both politically and socially as a host of İkinci Yeni. They have criticized the ruling political party and its order and they have aimed to spread and introduce Atatürk’s principles to the society.
