It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 18-20).Bu yazıda, “ozan-mimar” lakabıyla tanınan Cengiz Bektaş’ın kişisel hayatına, edebi yönüne ve mimari kişiliğine değinilmiştir. Asıl mesleği ve uzmanlık alanı olan mimarlık olsa da Cen-giz Bektaş çocukluğundan itibaren tutkusu olan şiir ve diğer edebi türler ile ilgili yazılar da yazmıştır. Yazdığı edebi eserlerde ve yazdığı mimaride Anadolu kültürünün modernleşme adı altında değerini kaybetmemesi gerektiğini vurgulayarak toplumsal bir bilinç oluşturmayı he-defledi. Hayatının son yıllarında dahi hem mimari projelerine hem de edebi eserlerine devam eden Cengiz Bektaş 2020 yılında 85 yaşında veda etti.In this article, the personal life, literary and architectural personality of Cengiz Bektaş, known as ‘poet-architect’, is discussed. Although his main profession and area of specialisation was architecture, Cengiz Bektaş also wrote about poetry and other literary genres, which had been his passion since childhood. In his literary works and architecture, he aimed to raise a social awareness by emphasising that Anatolian culture should not lose its value under the name of modernisation.
