Historical novels make it easy for researchers to define and reveal the relation. It is quite possible to find out this relation in Murat Sertoglu's novels. The novel called Battal Gazi, which is written as a first novel of serial novels, is suitable to examine the relation between the oral storyteller and the novelist.
