It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. Kökeni Türklerin konar-göçer yaşamına uzanan Türk sanat müziği, yıllar içinde değişime ve gelişime uğramış aynı zamanda başka müzik türlerini de etkilemiştir. Melihat Gülses, Türk Sanat müziğinin tanınmış ve başarılı sanatçılarından biridir. Müzikle çocukken tanışan Melihat Gülses, kendini bu alanda geliştirmiş ve Türk sanat müziğinin gelişimine katkıda bulunmuştur. Bu araştırmada Türk sanat müziği genel bağlamda ele alınarak Türk sanat müziğinin 1975-2010 yılları arasındaki gelişimi, kadın sanatçıların Türk sanat müziğindeki yeri, Melihat Gülses’in özel hayatı ve müzik hayatı anlatılmıştır. Melihat Gülses ve Necip Gülses’in verdiği bilgilerden, Melihat Gülses ve Türk sanat müziği üzerine yazılmış makale ve gazete haberlerinden yararlanılarak Melihat Gülses’in hayatı ve Gülses ailesinin Türk sanat müziğine olan katkıları anlatılmıştır.Turkish classical music is a significant part of Turkish music. Turkish classical music dates back to the nomadic life of Turkish people in Anatolia. It has undergone many changes and developments while affecting other music genres for years. Melihat Gülses is one of the most successful and well-known artists in Turkish classical music. Melihat Gülses, who met with music as a child, improved herself in this field and contributed to the development of Turkish classical music. In this research, the development of Turkish classical music between 1970-2010, the importance of female artists in Turkish classical music, and Melihat Gülses’s private and music life were elaborated.
