It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 34-38).1926 yılında Sinop’ta doğan Necmettin Erbakan, yüksek mühendis olarak eğitim hayatını tamamlamasının ardından Almanya ve Türkiye’de akademik çalışmalar yürütmüş ve sonrasında üretim sektöründe mühendis olarak çalışmıştır. Türk siyasi yaşamına yeni bir bakış olarak değerlendirilen “Milli Görüş” fikrini ortaya atmış ve kısa bir süre TOBB başkanlığı yaptıktan sonra aktif siyasete girmiştir. Bağımsız Milletvekili olarak Meclis’e girdikten sonra Milli Nizam Partisi’ni kurmuş, birkaç kere Başbakan Yardımcılığı ve 28 Haziran 1996 – 30 Haziran 1997 tarihleri arasında Başbakanlık yapmıştır. 27 Şubat 2011’de 85 yaşında hayatını kaybetmiştir.Necmettin Erbakan was born in 1926 in Sinop, after completing his education as a graduate engineer, carried out academic studies in Germany and Turkey, and later worked as an engineer in the manufacturing sector. He put forward the idea of "National Vision", which is considered as a new perspective on Turkish political life and entered active politics after serving as TOBB president for a short time. After joining parliamentary as an independent deputy, he founded the National Order Party, served as the Deputy Prime Minister several times and as the Prime Minister between 28 June 1996 and 30 June 1997.
