Keng, Zea mays L., Avena barbata Pott ex Link, Dactylis gtomerata L., Hordeum murinum subsp. glaucum (Steudel) Tzvelev from the family Poaceae were compared. Pollens of the investigated Poaceae members were monoporate, spheroidal, protate spheroidal, and the ornamentation was granulate. It was observed that H. murinum subsp. glaucum (30.64%) had slightly higher protein than the other Turkish species examined. The percentages are 29.5 in L. perenne, 25.73% in Z. mays, 15.03% in B. ischaemum 7.16% in L. multiflorum, 5.42% in A. barbata and 4.67% in D. glomerata.
