It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. İş insanı olan Raif Kara, 30 yılı aşkın bir süredir hobi olarak koleksiyonerlik yapmaktadır. Kara, farklı çeşitlerde antika parçalara sahip olsa da bu parçalardan en önemlileri, ses teknolojilerinin tarihsel gelişimini günümüze taşıyan gramofon koleksiyonudur. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de bilinen en büyük gramofon koleksiyonuna sahip Raif Kara ve koleksiyonu detaylı olarak incelenecektir. Buna ek olarak gramofon ve gramofonun tarihsel serüveni Türkiye özelinde ele alınacaktır.Raif Kara was born in Ankara in 1962. Raif Kara, a businessman, has been collecting as a hobby for about 30 years. Although he collects different kinds of antique pieces, the most important of these pieces is his gramophone collection, which depicts the historical development of audio technology to the present day. In this study, Raif Kara, who has the largest known gramophone collection in Turkey, and his collection will be analyzed in detail.
