It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Bu tarih araştırma çalışmasında işletmeci Mehmet Tekmen ve Kalbur Balık Restaurant’ı incelenmektedir. Kalbur Restaurant, Ankara’nın Oran semtinde yer alan en meşhur balık restoranlarından biridir. 1990 yılında Mehmet Tekmen tarafından açılan restoran iki sene gibi kısa bir süre içinde kendini kanıtlamıştır. Sahibi Mehmet Bey’in kendine özgü işletmecilik anlayışı ve birbirinden değişik tarifleriyle Kalbur Ankara’daki ününü korumaktadır. Makale, Mehmet Tekmen’in hayatı ve iş deneyimlerinden başlayarak restoranın açılmasından günümüze kadar ilerlemelerini konu alır. Mehmet Tekmen’in bir işletmeci olarak restorana ve müşterilere karşı tutumu üzerinden restoranın popülaritesi de ele alınmıştır. Araştırmaya çoğunlukla röportajda bulunan sözlü kaynaklar ve Kalbur Restaurant hakkındaki haber ve blog yazıları yardımcı olmuştur.In this historical research study, the restaurant owner Mehmet Tekmen and Kalbur Fish Restaurant are researched. Kalbur Restaurant is one of the most famous fish restaurants in Ankara's Oran district. The restaurant, which was opened by Mehmet Tekmen in 1990, has proven itself in a short period of two years. Kalbur maintains its reputation in Ankara with its owner Mehmet Bey's unique business approach and different recipes. The article deals with Mehmet Tekmen's progress from the opening of the restaurant to the present, starting from his life and work experiences. The popularity of the restaurant is also discussed through Mehmet Tekmen's attitude towards the restaurant and customers as an operator.
