It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 21-22).Türkiye’de son yıllarda oldukça yaygın bir kapalı alan sporu olan bilardo, Türkiye'de ilk kez 19.yüzyılda saraylarda ve konaklarda oynanmaya başlanmıştır. Özellikle Türkiye’de bilardonun bir spor dalı olarak kabul edilişi, yaygınlaşması ve federasyon olarak örgütlenmesi 1993 yılında gerçekleşmiştir. Türkiye bilardo tarihinde özel bir yeri olan Semih Saygıner 12 Kasım 1964 yılında doğmuş ve 1981’de bilardo sporuna merak salmıştır. Semih Saygıner’in 40 yıllık bilardo serüveninde onlarca yerel turnuva başarısı, 8 kez dünya kupası şampiyonluğu, 3 kez dünya kupası ikinciliği, 2 kez milli takımlar dünya şampiyonu ve bir kez milli takımlar dünya ikinciliği, Avrupa şampiyonluğu ve Avrupa ikinciliği bulunur. Profesyonel kariyerine verdiği aradan sonra ilk dünya kupası şampiyonluğunu 2021 senesinde elde etmiştir.In Turkey, billiards, which has become one of the common indoor sports, was first played in the palaces and mansions in the 19th century. Approval of billiards as the name of a branch of sports, billiards becoming widespread and organized as a federation have all happened especially in 1993. Semih Saygıner who has a special name in the history of billiards in Turkey was born on 12th of November in 1964 and has started to have interest in billiards in 1981.
