It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (page 14).Bu araştırmada Türkiye’nin yaşayan değerlerinden olan Ermeni Ud üstadı Yervant Bostancı’nın büyüdüğü Diyarbakır’dan ayrılışı, daha sonra Ermeni kimliğinden dolayı gördüğü muamele yüzünden ülkeyi terk etmek zorunda kalışı incelenmiş ve buna rağmen neden Türkiye’ye tekrar döndüğü araştırılmıştır. Ayrıca Yervant Bostancı’nın durumunu anlayabilmek için Türkiye Ermenilerine ve Yervant’ın doğup büyüdüğü Diyarbakır’ın durumuna değinilmiştir. Araştırmanın genel kaynağı sözlü kaynak olarak Udi Yervant’ın kendisi iken, aynı zamanda hakkında yazılmış kitap dâhil olmak üzere birçok yazılı kaynaktan faydalanılmıştır.In this research, one of the Turkey’s still living values Armenian Ud master Yervant Bostanci’s departure of Diyarbakir where he had grown up, the offensive actions he faced with because of his Armenian identity and why he returned to Turkey even everything he had been thought are searched and analyzed. Beside of that to understand Yervant Bostanci’s situation this research focuses on Armenians living in Turkey and Diyarbakir’s status where Yervan Bostanci was born and grew up.
