It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Yıldız Porselen Fabrikası’nın alçı atölyesine modlör olarak başladığı çalışma hayatına sayısız kolon kaplama ve eser eklemiştir. Bu araştırmada Ülkü Bora tarafından yazılan kitaptan, Ülkü Bora hakkında araştırma tezi yazan Özgür Ceren Can ile yapılan röportajdan ve dokümanlardan yararlanılarak Ülkü Bora’nın hayatı, eserlerinin önemi anlatılmıştır. Ülkü Bora’nın seramik sanatına olan katkıları Özgür Ceren Can’dan aktarılan bilgiler doğrultusunda sanatının Ankaralılar ve sanatseverler açısından ne kadar önemli olduğunu anlamamız açısından oldukça faydalı olmuştur. Kurduğu okul ve vakfının kendisinden sonra çalışmalara devam etmesi Ülkü Bora’nın halka mal olmuş bir sanatçı olduğunu anlamak açısından oldukça önemlidir. Yaptığı seramik biblolar ve renkli camdan yaptığı ürünler günümüzde de insanların evlerinde sergilenmektedir. Ankara’nın kamusal alanlarına yaptığı seramik kolon kaplama işlerinin hâlâ konuşulması ve değer görmesi Ülkü Bora’nın seramik sanatçısı olarak ne kadar değerli olduğunu göstermektedir.Ülkü Bora, a ceramic artist of the 60s, is still remembered for her innovations. Ülkü, who had been active since 1967, passed away in the year 2021. She started her career as a modeler in the plaster workshop of the Yıldız Porcelain Factory and added numerous column coatings and works. In this study, the life of Ülkü Bora and the importance of her works are explained by making use of the book written by Ülkü Bora, the interview with Özgür Ceren Can, who authored a research thesis about Ülkü Bora, and documents. Ülkü Bora's contributions to the art of ceramics have been extremely useful for us to understand how important her art is for Ankara residents and art lovers, in addition to the information conveyed by Özgür Ceren Can. That the school and foundation she founded continued to work after her passing is salient in understanding that Ülkü Bora is a public artist. The ceramic figurines she crafted and the products she made from coloured glass are still displayed in people's homes today.
