In 1991, as a result of Soviet Union separation, Russians who were suffering from hunger, poverty and various diseases, found the solution to migrate to Turkey and began shuttle trading in Turkey with the Russian goods they filled in their suitcases. These Russian bazaars, which were founded with these reasons, had caused some undesirable effects on domestic people. Even though those bazaars' contribution to Turkish economy could not have been underestimated, medicine and food sold in the bazaars caused food poisoning and also human trafficking led to increase in the sexually transmitted diseases. Therefore, these events made these bazaars having been accepted in Turkish social life rather hard. Besides Russian bazaars' present conditions have been scrutinized, the details of the effects within the scope of this research and the place in Turkish media have been investigated.14 pagesTurkishCreative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlikeRus pazarlarıBavul ticaretiYerel ekonomiilaçGıdaSovyetler BirliğiRussian bazaarsShuttle tradingLocal economyMedicineFoodSoviet UnionÖZTÜRK HIST 200-9/5 2019-20Karadeniz'de Rus pazarlarıStudent ProjectSPB3277
