It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Çeşitli öğrenim derecelerini tamamladıktan sonra mühendislik alanında çalışmalar yürüttü. Bu doğrultuda Almanya’ya gönderildi. Türkiye’ye döndükten sonra, yerli bir motor üretim sanayisi kurmak isteği ile hareket eden Erbakan, Gümüş Motor’u kurdu. Gümüş Motor, 1956 yılında, Necmettin Erbakan’ın öncülüğünde Konya’da kurulmuş olan, Türkiye’nin ilk milli ve yerli motor üreticisiydi. Ağırlıklı olarak, tarım sektöründe kullanılan motor üretimi yaptı. 1964 yılında, özelleştirme nedeniyle Pancar Motor olarak hayatına devam etti. Uzun yıllar boyunca başarıyla varlığını sürdüren Gümüş Motor; artan rekabet, üretim verimsizliği ve yükselen maliyetler nedeniyle birçok kez iflasın eşiğine geldi. 2011 yılında, tüm kurtarma çabalarına rağmen, kapatılmak zorunda bırakıldı.Necmettin Erbakan was born on 29 October 1926, in Sinop,Turkey. After completing several educational degrees, he continued his career as an engineer. He was sent to Germany to pursue achievements in this field. After returning to Turkey, with an aim to create the foundations of a domestic motor manufacturing industry, he established Gümüs Motor. Gümüs Motor was established in 1956, in Konya, under the leadership of Necmettin Erbakan. It was Turkey’s first domestic motor manufacturer. It mainly produced diesel motors for the agriculture industry. In 1964, after a wave of privatization, it continued its life as Pancar Motor. After long successful periods, it came to the brink of bankruptcy, due to several reasons such as increased competition, production inefficiency and increasing costs of production.
