It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 18-19).Kıbrıs, Güneybatı Asya'da bulunur ve Akdeniz'in Sicilya ve Sardinya'dan sonra üçüncü büyük adasıdır. Stratejik konumu sebebiyle değerli bir konuma sahip olan bu ada Yunanistan ve Türkiye arasında kalmıştır. İlk başta diplomasi denense dahi Kıbrıs Cumhuriyeti'nde Enosis gayesini yerine getirmek üzere darbe uygulandıktan sonra Türk kökenli kesime ırkçılık yapıp anayasanın artık ölü olduğunu söyleyerek Türklerin haklarını ellerinden alındı. İlave olarak Türklere çeşitli şiddet uyguladılar. Bunun üzerine Türkiye Kıbrıs üzerine garantör ülke sıfatına sahip bir ülke olduğu için müdafi savunma hakkından yararlandı ve birincisinin de olduğu 20 Temmuz 1974 tarihinde 2. Kıbrıs Harekatı'nı düzenler. Bütün askeri donanmanın birlik ve başarısı ile bu mücadelede Türkiye galip gelir. Ama asıl mercek altına alınan kısım askeri havacılık kısmıdır. Askeri havacılık bölümü çeşitli yerlerde pilotların anlık kararlarıyla, çeşitli operasyonlardaki başarılarıyla öne çıkmıştır. Bu çalışmada Kıbrıs Barış Harekatı'nda askeri havacılığın önemi ve etkisi, pilotların karşılaştığı zorluklar, üstlendiği roller ve savaş sonrası psikolojik durumları anlatılmıştır.Cyprus is the third largest island in the Eastern Mediterranean. It is located south of Turkey, west of Syria and north of Israel. This island has a strategic location that gain attention from many countries. However, Greeks had a purpose that called "Enosis". In order to achieve that Makarios the three first made a strike and outlaw Turks from their rights. In addition, torture Turks as they are invisible against law. Because of that Republic of Turkey has announce that they will do an intervention to situation. Because of Turkey is counted as guarantor country for Cyprus, they had chance to respond as self-defense. Turkey's Cyprus Peace Operation was successful at the date 20 July 1974. In that campaign, many heroes born but especially at Air Force department. Air force lead the operations with their important shots at key points and overcome the situation.
