It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Göç öncesi hazırlıklar, resmi mübadele prosedürleri ve Akdaş'ın hazırlık çabaları da detaylı bir şekilde ele alınmaktadır. Şakir Akdaş'ın Almanya'daki yaşantısı, yerleşme ve adaptasyon süreci ile başlayan bu süreçteki problemleri ile birlikte yabancı dil bilmemesinin ve kültürel farklılıkların yarattığı zorluklar, maddi sıkıntılar ve iş hayatındaki deneyimler incelenmektedir. Makalenin bir diğer odak noktası ise Şakir Akdaş’ın Türkiye’ye dönüşü sonrasında Almanya’da edindiği iş tecrübeleri ve sermayeyi kullanarak başarılı bir müteahhit olma yolculuğudur.This article explores the life of Şakir Akdaş in Turkey, the historical context of 1970s Turkey, and his migration to Germany. Focusing on 1970, it investigates labor struggles in Turkey, the migration situation between Germany and Turkey, and the reasons behind Akdaş's migration from Erzurum to Germany. Pre-migration preparations, official exchange procedures, and Akdaş's preparation efforts are thoroughly examined. The narrative of Şakir Akdaş's life in Germany begins with the settlement and adaptation process. The challenges posed by not knowing the language, cultural differences affecting social life, financial difficulties, and experiences in the workplace are scrutinized. The article provides an in-depth analysis of working conditions in Germany, challenges faced in the workplace, and how Akdaş overcame these difficulties.
