It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Emekliliğinden sonra ise günümüzde de unutulmaya yüz tutmuş olan ahşap oyma sanatında ustalık yapan bir isimdir. Bu makalede başarılı bir kariyere sahip olan Faruk Öztürk’ün biyografisi ve meslek hayatında yaşadıkları detaylı şekilde anlatılmıştır. Bunun yanında da hâlâ devam ettiği ahşap oyma sanatı hakkında tarihsel ve teknik bilgiler kendisine sorulmuş ve alınan cevaplar ışığında bu sanatın geçmişten günümüze durumu ve gelecekte ne durumda olabileceği gibi konular çok boyutlu şekilde ve muhtelif yönlerden incelenmiştir.Faruk Öztürk, who started his career as a teacher in Bolu, worked as an instructor and administrative officer in many different educational institutions, as well as photography and radio broadcasting. After his retirement, he became a master in the art of wood carving, which is almost forgotten today. In this article, the biography of Faruk Öztürk, who has a successful career, and his experiences in his professional life are explained in detail.
