It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (page 13).Bilardo, Türkiye’ye 19. yüzyılın başlarında Osmanlı Devleti o topraklarda hüküm sürerken gelmiştir. Bilardo bazı salonlarda ithal edilmiş masalar üzerinde döneminin ünlü kişileri tarafından oynansa da gelişimi cumhuriyetin ilk yirmi yılından önce gerçekleşmemiştir. 1956 yılında Platin Bilardoyu kuran Platin Doğan Türkiye’nin ilk bilardo masası üreticisi ve bilardonun Türkiye’de profesyonel bir spor olarak yerini almasında rol oynayan kişilerden biri olmuştur. Platin Bilardo, geçen 60 yılı aşkın sürede büyük bir firma haline gelirken dünyanın çeşitli ülkelerine de ihracat yapmaya başlamıştır. 2018 yılına gelindiğinde halen çeşitli salonlarda ve turnuvalarda Platin masaları kullanılmakta ve Platin Bilardo bilardonun çeşitli türlerinde sponsorluklarını sürdürmektedir.Billiards appeared at Turkey in the beginning of the 19th century while the Ottoman Empire was ruling in that land. Although, the billiards were played by famous people of that period on the tables which were imported in some places, the development of the billiards did not occur before the first 20 years of the republic. In 1956, Platin Doğan who is the founder of Platin Bilardo became the first billiards tables manufacturer of Turkey and he is one of the people who helped the billiards to be a professional sport in Turkey. While becoming a major company in last 60 years, Platin Bilardo has started to export their products to various countries of the world. In 2018, Platin tables are still used in a lot of places that the billiards are played and tournaments.
