It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Mimari alanda dönemin yetenekli mimarlarından 1930 ve 40’ların en yetenekli mimarlarından Seyfi Arkan, Mustafa Kemal’in modernist projelerine katkıda bulundu. Bu araştırmanın amacı Seyfi Arkan’ın bütün hayatını kariyerindeki yükselişinin ve çöküşünün detaylarıyla birlikte incelmektir.Since the foundation of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk who is the founder of the Turkish Republic desired to turn the Ottoman Empire into innovative and modernist country. In terms of architecture, Seyfi Arkan was one of the most skilled Turkish architects of 1930s and 1940s who contributed to purpose of Mustafa Kemal with his modernist projects.
