It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Toplumların zaman içinde yapılan çalışmalarla opera ve baleye olan ilgilerinin artması ve bu alanda kendilerini geliştirmeleri, opera ve bale sanatlarının uluslararası alanda önemli bir konuma yükselmesine katkı sağlamıştır. Tan Sağtürk, Türk balesinin tanınmış ve başarılı bir sanatçısıdır. Bale ile ilk tanışması 10 yaşında olan Sağtürk, hem aldığı eğitimlerle hem de doğal yeteneğiyle Türk balesine önemli katkılarda bulunmuştur. Bu çalışmada, Tan Sağtürk’ün 1979 yılında başlayan bale kariyeri detaylı bir şekilde incelenmiş; aldığı eğitimlerden, sinemada sektöründeki deneyimlerinden, yaşadığı sağlık sorunlarından ve Türk Opera ve Balesine katkılarından bahsedilmiştir. Ayşe Arman, Gizem Çetimen ve Dilek Dallıağ gibi kaynaklardan yararlanılarak Tan Sağtürk’ün kariyeri detaylı bir şekilde anlatılmıştır.The State Opera and Ballet of Turkey is one of the significant elements of Turkish art. The increasing interest in opera and ballet among societies over time, coupled with their efforts to develop the field, has contributed to the elevation of opera and ballet arts to a distinguished position internationally. Tan Sağtürk is a renowned and successful artist in Turkish ballet. Sağtürk, who first encountered ballet at age of 10, has made significant contributions to Turkish ballet both through his training and his natural talent. In this paper, Tan Sağtürk’s ballet career, which began in 1979, is examined in detail, including his education, experiences in the cinema industry, health issues he faces, and his contributions to the Turkish State Opera and Ballet.
