It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 17-18).Yüzyıllar öncesinden günümüze kadar Türk kültürünün bir taşıyıcısı olarak gelen saz, pek çok insanda gerek çalmak gerek yapmak için bir merak uyandırmaktadır. Araştırmanın ana konusu olan Kastamonulu saz ustası Bekir Tekeli ve ailesi de saz yapımındaki başarılarını Türkiye'ye ve dünyaya yaptıkları sazların kalitesiyle kanıtlamışlardır. Bu araştırmada önce, onları böyle bir zanaata teşvik eden tarihi ve kültürel mirasın bir parçası olarak âşıklık, hem Anadolu coğrafyasında hem de özel olarak ailenin memleketi olan Kastamonu'da incelendi. Genel olarak kullanılan saz yapım teknikleri araştırılarak aileyi dünya çapında farklı kılan özellikler belirlendi. Bekir Tekeli'nin ve ailesinin hayat hikayesi aktarıldı ve el işçiliğiyle saz yapım mesleğinin geleceğiyle ilgili çıkarımlar yapıldı.Saz, which has been a carrier of Turkish culture since centuries ago, arouses a curiosity for many people to play or make. The saz master Bekir Tekeli and his family from Kastamonu who are the main topic of this research have proved their success in making saz to Turkey as well as all the world with their qualified saz. In that research firstly, Aşıklık which is part of the historical and cultural heritage and encourages Tekeli family to make saz is examined. In general, methods used for making saz is investigated to determine which features of their saz make them unique.
