It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Tasavvuf ve mitolojiye duyduğu ilginin sanatını nasıl şekillendirdiği, cam sanatıyla tanışma sürecinde karşılaştığı zorluklar ve bu sanattaki yenilikçi yaklaşımları incelenmiştir. Ayrıca sanatçının tezhip ve hat sanatını cama işleyerek UNESCO tarafından Somut Olmayan Kültürel Miras Taşıyıcısı olarak tanınma süreci, sanat eserleri ve eserlerinin topluma verdiği mesajlar değerlendirilmiştir. Makalede, Bilgiç’in sanat yolculuğunun yanı sıra Türk cam sanatının ulusal ve uluslararası düzeydeki bilinirliğine olan katkıları da vurgulanmaktadır.This article examines the life, artistic career and works of Menekşe Bilgiç, one of the representatives of Turkish glass art, through an interview with Menekşe Bilgiç. It examines how her interest in Sufism and mythology shaped her art, the difficulties she encountered during her introduction to glass art and her innovative approaches to this art. In addition, the process of the artist's recognition as an Intangible Cultural Heritage Carrier by UNESCO by applying the art of illumination and calligraphy to glass, the works of art and the messages her works convey to society are evaluated.
