It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (page 15).Seramik tarih boyunca Türk kültüründe yer edinmiştir. Osmanlı’dan Türkiye Cumhuriyeti dönemine kadar birçok evrim geçirmiş seramik sanatı, cumhuriyet döneminde de birçok yetenekli sanatçı tarafından eserlerin üretildiği bir sanat dalı olmuştur. Hamiye Çolakoğlu da bu sanatçılardan biridir. Genç Yaşta yeteneği fark edilmiş ve yurt dışında eğitim görmesi için destek görmüştür. Eğitim yılları süresince kendine kattıklarıyla ülkesine döndükten sonra bu bilgi birikimini ve yeteneğini Türk seramik sanatının gelişimi için kullanmıştır. Hacettepe Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi’nin kurulmasında büyük rolü olan Hamiye Çolakoğlu birçok eseriyle ödül almış, uluslararası başarı elde etmiştir.Ceramics has had a place in Turkish culture throughout history. From the days of Ottoman Empire to Republic of Turkey, the art of ceramics, which has undergone many evolutions in form and usage,had become one of the main branches of art where works were produced by many talented artists. Hamiye Çolakoğlu is one of these artists. Her talent was recognized at a young age and she was supported to study abroad. After returning to her country with what she contributed to herself during her education years, she used this knowledge and talent for the development of Turkish ceramic art.
