In this article, the geography and history of the quilting profession, which has been continuing its activities for years, has been shed light on. Respectively, the materialistic features of the quilt, its cultural characteristics, the place of quilt making in Trabzon and Ankara and the process of losing its importance were mentioned and interviews were made. The reason why Trabzon is famous for its quilting was examined and it was seen that the most important of these reasons was related to geography. Mass production quilts, which were produced in a short time with the technological opportunities that developed over time, started to see more demand than quilts produced by traditional methods. This situation, which caused the quilting to lose its popularity, affected the craftsmen materially and morally. For this reason, the craftsmen became unable to focus on the artistic part of their work, and the art anxiety of the profession also decreased.49 pagesTurkishYorganYorgancılıkMateryalKültürMotifTrabzonAnkaraEndüstrileşmeSentetikYünSanatQuiltQuiltingMaterialCultureIndustrializationSyntheticWoolArt 2Yorgancılık mesleğinin tarihi ve Türkiye’de değer kaybedişi: Trabzon ve Ankara üzerinden incelenmesiStudent ProjectSPB3811
