It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Hem devrimci hem de halkçı olmasıyla tanınır. Eserlerini toplumcu gerçekçilik ilkesini benimseyerek yazmıştır. Asıl mesleğinin yazarlık olmasının yanı sıra, öğretmenlik mesleği ile de tanınmıştır. Baykurt’un hayatında köy enstitüsünün, Türkiye Öğretmenler Sendikası’nın ve seksen darbesinin oldukça büyük etkileri olmuştur. Bu etkiler eserlerine ve özel hayatına yansımıştır. Bu araştırmada Baykurt’un hayatındaki dönüm noktaları, meslekleri ve yaptığı diğer işler ele alınarak hayatının anlatılması hedeflenmiştir.Fakir Baykurt is one of the successful writers of Turkish literature of the Republican era. He is known for being both revolutionary and populist. He wrote his works by adopting the principle of social realism. In addition to being a writer, he is also known for his teaching profession. In Baykurt’s life, village institute, Turkey Teacher’s Union and eighty coup had significant influences. These influences were reflected in his works and private life.
