It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 16-17).1970'ten itibaren Türkiye'de sağ ve sol olayları yıl geçtikçe şiddeti artacak şekilde arttı. Türkiye genelinde gerçekleşen bu olaylar aynı zamanda Amasya ili ve ilçelerinde de kendini boy gösterdi. Türkiye askeri kuvvetleri şiddeti artan olayları sebep göstererek 12 Eylül 1980'de darbe düzenledi. Darbe düzenlenmesiyle hükümet feshedildi ve sıkıyönetim ilan edildi. Askeri kuvvetler darbe öncesinde ve sonrasında olaylara karışan isimleri tutuklayarak işkenceye maruz bıraktı. İşkenceye maruz kalan kişilerin bir kısmı ideallerinden vazgeçmeyip hayatlarına devam etseler de bir kısmı yaşananlardan korkup ilişkiye girdikleri kişilerle aralarına mesafe koydular.After 1970, conflicts between right and left wing started to escalate. These conflicts escalated also in Amasya and its counties. On the 12th of September, military forces started a coup and abolished the government showing the rising conflicts as an excuse. Following these events, people that participated in conflicts before and after coup were arrested and tortured in jails.
