It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 13-14).1950-1980 yılları arasında Türkiye'den Almanya'ya yöre halkını ve göçmenlerin sosyo-kültürel yapısını etkileyen işçi göçleri yaşandı. Almanya’ya sağlık memuru olmak üzere gönüllü olarak göç eden Şinasi Dikmen, etkilenen sosyo-kültürel yapıyı gözlemleyerek eleştirel ve mizahi bir dille yazıya döktüğü gözlemlerini toplumla paylaştı. Gazete ve dergilerde yayınladığı mizahi yazılarla Alman mizahçısı Dieter Hildebrandt tarafından keşfedildi. Gerek toplumun gerekse Hildebrandt’ın beğeni ve takdirini toplayan Dikmen, kendine has dili ve üslubuyla Alman ve Türk kültürünün harmanlayarak ortaya koyduğu eserleri daha geniş kitlelere ulaştırmak amacıyla, 1986 yılında tarihi ve sosyo-kültürel açıdan önemli bir yere sahip olan ilk Türk-Alman kabaresi Knobi Bonbon’u kurdu. Bu araştırmada dönemin gazetelerinden, dergilerde yayınlanan söyleşilerinden ve bizzat Şinasi Dikmen ile yapılan röportajdan yararlanarak Dikmen’in kişisel hayatı ve Türk-Alman sanatına sağladığı katkılar anlatıldı. Yirminci yüzyılda Türk-Alman ilişkilerini anlamak açısından Şinasi Dikmen’in göstermiş olduğu faaliyetler önem göstermektedir.Between the years 1950-1980, labor migrations from Turkey to Germany, which affected the the socio-cultural structure of locals and immigrants. Şinasi Dikmen, who voluntarily migrated to Germany to be a medical assistant, observed socio-culturally affected German and Turkish society and shared his observations in a critical and humorous way. He was discovered by the German humorist Dieter Hildebrandt, with his columns, written in satirical way, published in newspapers and magazines. Since he was admired and appreciated by both of the societies and Hildebrandt, in 1986, Dikmen established the first Turkish-German cabarett called Knobi-Bonbon, which had an important historical and socio-cultural significance, to share his works produced by blending German and Turkish culture with his unique language and style to wider audiences. In this research, Dikmen's personal life and his contributions to the sense of Turkish-German art were explained by considering the interviews published in the newspapers and magazines of the period and the interview with Şinasi Dikmen.
