It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Pek çok farklı türde filmin yapımcılığını üstlenen Ergun, 1980’li yıllarda vizyona giren kadın temalı filmleri ile dikkat çekmiştir. Adı Vasfiye (1985), Aaahh Belinda (1986), ve Kadının Adı Yok (1987) gibi kadın temalı filmler kadını cinselliğin objesi olmaktan çıkarıp öznesi haline getirmeleri ve kadının toplumdaki yerini hem gözler önüne seren hem de eleştiren bakış açılarıyla dönemin diğer filmlerinden ve günümüz sinemasından farklıdırlar.Cengiz Ergun is a major film producer for the cinema of Turkey. Ergun, who produced many different genres of movies, compelled attention with his woman themed movies debuted in 1980’s.
