The Revised New Ecological Paradigm (R-NEP) scale and ten interview questions are used in the present study. The findings revealed that one hundred pre-service teachers have moderate environmental awareness and concerns. The internal consistency of the scale was 0.67. There were significant difference between the pre-service teachers’ environmental awareness and concerns with respect to their subject area, and length of time at the university except gender.
