It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 21-22).Bosna Savaşı uzun bir bağımsızlık mücadelesi sonucunda ortaya çıkan önemli bir savaştır. 1990’lı yıllarda öncelikle Balkanlar olmak üzere birçok ülkeyi etkilemiştir. İnsanlığa karşı işlenen suçlar, bitmek bilmeyen zulümler sonrasında çoğu ülke harekete geçmiştir. Bosna’nın mücadelesinde yanında olup en büyük desteği gösteren ülkelerden birisi de Türkiye’dir. Türkiye uluslararası alanda savaşın önemine dikkat çekmiş ve elinden gelen her yardımı savaşı bitirip barış ortamını sağlamak için yapmıştır. NATO’yla işbirliği içerisinde savaşa dahil olup asker gönderen Türkiye büyük başarılara imza atmıştır. Savaş sonrasında da Türkiye, Bosna ile olan ilişkisine son vermemiş ve bağları gittikçe güçlendirmiştir. Halkın bakış açısını, savaş sonrası Bosna’da ve çevresinde yaşanan gelişmeleri anlamak açısından orada görev alan askerlerin anlattıkları çok büyük önem taşımaktadır. Savaşın Bosna’da meydana getirdiği zor durum, halkın hayatının nasıl olumsuz şekilde değiştiği ve Türk askerine duyulan minnet farklı zamanlarda orada bulunup gözlem yapma fırsatı elde etmiş Telat Türkçe ve Ali Erci’nin anılarından anlaşılmaktadır. Aynı zamanda ifadelerinden Türkiye’nin dış politikada izlediği yollar ve elde edilen diğer başarılar da belli olmaktadır.The Bosnian War is an important war that emerged as a result of a long struggle for independence. In the 1990s, it affected many countries, primarily the Balkans. After crimes against humanity and endless atrocities toward innocent people, most countries took action. One of the countries that stands by Bosnia's struggle and shows the greatest support is Turkey. Turkey has drawn attention to the importance of war in the international arena and has done all it can to end the war and provide an environment of peace. Turkey, which was involved in the war in cooperation with NATO and sent soldiers, has achieved great success. After the war, Turkey did not end its relationship with Bosnia and gradually strengthened its ties. In order to understand the perspective of the people and the developments in and around Bosnia after the war, the stories of the soldiers who served there are of great importance. The difficult situation caused by the war in Bosnia, how the life of the people has changed in a negative way, and the gratitude for the Turkish soldier can be understood from the memoirs of Telat Türkçe and Ali Erci, who had the opportunity to be there and observe at different times.
