It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 16-17).1990-2000 tarihleri arasında Uygur öğrencilerin Türkiye’ye yaptığı göçü ele alan bu araştırma, tarihsel arka planı değerlendirmek için göç sürecinin öncesine daha geniş bir perspektifle değinmektedir. Göç sürecinin başlangıcı, devamı ve bu olaylar dahilinde göçmenlerin yaşadıkları incelenecektir. Buna bağlı olarak, Türkiye’nin göç sürecindeki rolüne de ayrı bir bölüm altında yer verilecektir. Türkiye’deki Uygur diasporasının bazı önde gelenleriyle bu bağlamda röportajlar yapılmıştır.This research addresses the migration of Uighur students to Turkey between 1990-2000, to assess the historical background, it refers to a wider perspective, which requires also mentioning the times before the migration process. The beginning and continuation of the migration process and the experiences of migrants within the scope of these events will be examined. Accordingly, the role of Turkey during the migration process will be presented under a separate section.
