In a different model, wealso treat the disorder effects phenomenologically. The exchange, correlation, and ground-state energies andthe compressibility are calculated for both models. In terms of the compressibility both models have similarpredictions in the high-density region. The mode-coupling theory results at lower density are in better quali-tative agreement with the experimental findingsEnglishEffects of disorder on the ground-state energy of a two-dimensional electron gasArticle10.1103/PhysRevB.65.085311
