However, the industry faces some technological and economical problems which affects the competitiveness of the firms in the global market. The major problems of the firms in the furniture sector is availability and quality of raw materials, and the productivity of labor. Turkish furniture manufacturers can be classified into two categories; small job-shops (workshops) and big firms.
