It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 16-17).Bu çalışmada, Türk Sanat Müziği’nin 1970’li yıllardan itibaren geçirdiği değişim ve bu değişimin sebepleri; eğitim, beste, sosyal, siyasi, tüketim ve medya boyutları açısından incelenmiştir. Osmanlı Devleti zamanında yapılan düzenlemelerin Türk Sanat Müziği’ne etkileri de göz ardı edilmemiş ve çalışmamızda bu etkilere de yer verilmiştir. Konservatuvarlar ve TRT’nin etkisi incelenmiş olup; plak, kaset, televizyon ve gazinoların da etkileri araştırılmıştır. Türk Sanat Müziği’ne gönül vermiş sanatçılarla ve dinleyicilerle de sözlü görüşmeler yapılmıştır.In this paper, the modifications Turkish Classical Music had been through since the 1970s and the reasons behind the modifications were inspected, listed under the categories as education, composition, social, political, consumption, and lastly, media. The effect of the arrangements that were made during The Ottoman Empire on Turkish Classical Music were not overlooked and included in this paper. Conservatories and TRT’s impact on this matter was inspected as well as the impact of records, cassette tapes, televisions and casinos.
