It is designed to encourage students to work in groups on projects concerning any topic of their choice that relates to the history of Turkey. It is designed as an interactive course with an emphasis on research and the objective of investigating events, chronologically short historical periods, as well as historic representations. Students from all departments prepare and present final projects for examination by a committee, with 10 projects chosen to receive awards.Includes bibliographical references (pages 13-14).Türk kültüründe önemli bir yere sahip olan köy odaları, köydeki varlıklı aileler tarafından veya köy halkı tarafından imece usulü ile yaptırılan, köye gelen misafirlerin ağırlandığı, köy halkının düğün, cenaze, bayram gibi toplu etkinliklerinde buluşulan, köy erkeklerinin sohbet amacıyla gidip vakit geçirdikleri mekanlardır. Köy odaları, Türkiye’nin Orta Anadolu bölgesinde çokça bulunmaktadır. Bu makalede, Konya ilinde yer alan Akçabelen köyündeki köy odaları tanıtılmakta, köy odalarının tarihi, kullanım amacı, mimarisi ve günümüz kullanımı hakkında bilgi verilmektedir. Çalışmada, Akçabelen köy odalarının bakımıyla ilgilenen Sırma Sayın, Akçabelen eski belediye başkanı Hasan Sayın ve köy odası sahibi Ali Atlıoğlu’ndan yardım alınarak köy odalarının tarihi, günümüzdeki kullanım amacı ve Anadolu kültüründeki önemini yansıtmak amaçlanmıştır.Village chambers, which have an important place in Turkish culture, are the places where the village men come together for the purpose of conversation, and which are built by the wealthy families in the village or by the people of the village, where the guests who come to the village are hosted, where the village people meet at collective events such as weddings, funerals, and holidays. Village chambers are abundant in the Central Anatolian region of Turkey. In this article, the village rooms in the village of Akçabelen in the province of Konya are introduced, and information is given about the history, purpose of use, architecture and current use of the village rooms.
