Atatürk‟ün Kurtuluş Savaşı sırasında İsmet İnönü, Fevzi Çakmak, Albay Mahmut Soydan gibi isimlerle toplantıyı yaptığı bu evde çeşitli kararlar alınmıştır. Atatürk‟ün özellikle bu evi tercih etmesinin sebebi evin güvenli olmasından, konumundan ve gizliliğinden kaynaklanmaktadır. Evin savaştaki öneminin yanısıra evin genel mimari yapısına, savaştan sonraki müzeye dönüştürülme sürecine ve evin günümüzdeki Afyon turizmine yönelik faydalarına da değinilmiş ve geçmişle bugün arasında bağlantı kurulmuştur. Bu karargâhın günümüzde bilinmesi Atatürk‟ün evi stratejik bir uğrak yeri olmasından kaynaklansa da günümüzde yapılan zafer yürüyüşleriyle de hala öneminin korunması sağlanıyor.Şuhut Atatürk House is a headquarter of The Great Offensive located in Afyonkarahisar which is used by Atatürk on 24th of August.
